The High Performance Workbench (the Workbench) provides support for overdraft collections personnel to maintain charged-off accounts long past being closed in the host banking system.  Recovery is passive and occurs after an account is closed and written off.

If such accounts are turned over to an outside collection agency, this is noted on the collection record.  The recovery functionality is provided so that if payments are received after the account is closed, there is a record of the principal and fees originally written off.
